Vision
Rooted in the truth of the Biblical world view of Creation and Redemption, Veritas Academy provides rigorous training following the classical model of education. Classical education employs the wisdom of the past to enable students to understand our present world. Veritas Academy offers an education which teaches that all knowledge and life extends from the Triune God, thereby equipping students to know what is true, choose what is good, and appreciate and create what is beautiful.
Curriculum
Veritas Academy emphasizes a classical education with particular focus given to the basic skills of reading, oral and written composition, and mathematics - all of which supply the mind with the basic tools of learning. History, literature, science, and geography form the school’s essential subject matter, for it is through these disciplines that children learn to respond intelligently to the world around them. The study of Latin, the basic language, is an integral component of the classical curriculum and equips students with foundational skills for learning. Music and art, which reflect the aesthetic dimension of human nature, complete the course of study.
